Brewster Milton Robertson, novelist and critic, is a Pushcart-nominated essayist, longtime member of the Southern Book Critic’s Circle and a mainstay contributor to Publisher’s Weekly. Well-known for his view that the fiction process is a seduction, his current novel A Posturing of Fools is described as “Sloan Wilson’s Man in the Grey Flannel Suit meets Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby”. Robertson’s debut novel Rainy Days and Sundays was optioned for film by Alan Brown, Executive Producer of the film, Year of the Comet Today on “Writer’s Forum” he reads from, and discusses, his work, as well as the upcoming conference.
Charlotte Jones Cabaniss Robertson is a Columnist, Critic, Librarian, Publicist, and Literary Advocate. A graduate cum laude at Auburn University and mainstay board member of the Alabama Center for the Book, and former Director of Library Services at the Bay Minette Public Library, Robertson is well-known throughout the literary south as founder of the celebrated Alabama Athenaeum, a forum from which distinguished authors could read from their works to the people of the greater Mobile, Alabama area. The founding Director of the Annual Downeast Writer’s Conference on Deer Isle, Maine, Robertson continues to serve on the advisory board of the Alabama Center for the Book and as Author Liaison Director for the famous Page & Palette Book Store in Fairhope, Alabama
