For the 3rd year, WERU-FM participated in Giving Tuesday by hosting 2 hour long special call in shows, dedicated to giving nonprofits an opportunity to call in and talk about their work and how the community can “give back”.

“Giving to Your Community”, WERU’s alternative to Black Friday and Cyber Monday and our way of participating in Giving Tuesday, which is a national day all about supporting community organizations by donating and volunteering.

WERU celebrated the day with a special live hour at 10am and then another at 4pm on the “Giving Voice to Your Community” theme. Local and state-wide nonprofit organizations of all kinds were invited to call in and share a little bit about their organizations and the ways that community members can support them.
